Last meeting: Woodbridge beat Stonewall Jackson, 26-20, on Oct. Woodbridge (2-2, 0-1) at Stonewall Jackson (1-3, 0-0) Last week: Woodbridge lost to Potomac, 24-7 Stonewall Jackson lost to Brooke Point, 19-13. Quarterback Frank Hogan, who passed for just 34 yards in the first three weeks of the season, has passed for 232 yards in the past two games. Part of what made Osbourn so successful last week - and part of what Brown said concerns him - is Osbourn's newly-discovered passing game. The Eagles' 41 points last week are the most they've scored during Coach Kevin Saunders' three-year tenure, and the most an Osbourn team has scored since 1994. "I don't think the kids are taking anything for granted." Osbourn could be a dangerous opponent. "There's something to be said for wanting to stay in the position we're in," Hylton Coach Bill Brown said. But don't expect the Bulldogs, who have won nine of 10 games dating to last season, to let up. Outlook: The area's only undefeated team, Hylton continues to roll up one impressive victory after another. Last meeting: Hylton beat Osbourn, 13-7, on Oct. 8 Hylton (5-0, 1-0) at Osbourn (2-3, 1-0) Last week: Hylton beat Gar-Field, 35-21 Osbourn beat Osbourn Park, 41-0. Jonathan Anderson (14 receptions, 322 yards), Raymond Pettis (13, 143) and Kareem Kyer (3, 24) may be the best receiving trio in the area. The Indians' passing attack, in particular, may be ready for a big game. That strength of schedule will make the Indians tougher, even if it hasn't done much for their record. Every team Gar-Field has played is either ranked in the Washington area or played in the 1997 playoffs. Gar-Field has had a tough road this season as well, but for different reasons. Osbourn Park has had some encouraging signs - the running of Jimmie Thompson (216 yards in the past two weeks) being one of them - but it has been a tough season for the Yellow Jackets, who have been outscored 112-22. Outlook: Gar-Field enters this game with a three-game losing streak, while Osbourn Park comes in having just suffered its worst loss since October 1995. Gar-Field (2-3, 0-1) at Osbourn Park (0-4, 0-1) Last week: Gar-Field lost to Hylton, 35-21 Osbourn Park lost to Osbourn, 41-0 Last meeting: Gar-Field beat Osbourn Park, 19-10, on Oct. Tailback Walter Newman returns to full strength from a sprained ankle suffered in the third week of the season, and James Fitchett returned to practice this week after his foot was run over by a friend's car following the same game. "Hopefully this will work." Manassas Park also will have a healthy starting back. "We were getting killed off the ball and not tackling well," Lloyd said. The Cougars will use a 5-3 front instead of a 4-4, in an effort to stop the run. Outlook: Manassas Park was manhandled by Clarke County last week, prompting Coach Jeff Lloyd to change defensive strategies. Last Meeting: Colonial Beach beat Manassas Park, 53-0, on Oct. Colonial Beach at Manassas Park (1-4) Last week: Colonial Beach lost to Massanutten Military Academy Manassas Park lost to Clarke County, 35-8. King George is led by quarterback Josh Johnson and wide receiver C.J. Offensively, the Indians look for continued productivity from running back Chris Hilleary, who ran for 130 yards and two touchdowns on six carries last week. In the season's second week, Stafford held Woodbridge's pass-oriented offense to 17 points. But King George's pass-oriented offense might play to Stafford's strength. Stafford's defense, which allowed 25 points in its first two games, has given up 74 over the last two. Outlook: Stafford faces its second consecutive Group AA opponent and hopes it goes better than last week's 33-22 loss, the Indians' third consecutive defeat. Last Meeting: Stafford beat King George, 21-7, on Sept. King George (0-4) at Stafford (1-3) Last week: King George lost to Spotswood, 41-8 Stafford lost to James Monroe, 33-22. "We're struggling, but if we don't make too many mental mistakes we could be competitive," Madison said. Combine those two factors, and Brentsville Coach Mike Madison is not very optimistic. AA James Monroe enters the game with the momentum of beating its first AAA opponent of the season. Outlook: Since an opening-game victory over Page County, Brentsville has been outscored 104-3 by its opponents - and only one (Liberty) has been a Group AA school the other two (Central and Madison County) were Group A schools. Last Meeting: James Monroe beat Brentsville, 31-7, on Oct.
